Here's one for you... Is it possible to assign faders 1 & 2 to pan and tilt of fixture 1, faders 3 & 4 to pan and tilt of fixture 2, 5 & 6 to 3 and 7 & 8 to 4?

no it's not realy possibly like you say, but you can use Midi To dmx to assign the right fader to the right channel.

Example: Fixture haves, Pan, tilt, Color, gobo
Midi to Dmx 1 = Channel1, pan Fixture 1
Midi to Dmx 2 = Channel2, Tilt Fixture 1
Midi to Dmx 3 = Channel5, Pan Fixture 2
Midi to Dmx 4 = Channel6, Tilt Fixture 2
Midi to Dmx 5 = Channel9, Pan Fixture 3
And so on.

Maby this wil help.

Hmmm, when i am right it only works until DMX-Channel 15? I could not find the higher DMX-Channels in the Midi-Setup Page.

@ Spirit: I was thinking along those lines. Do you know if motor still works? I'm not getting my BFC until later this week, but I'd like to have as much worked out in advance as possible. I've got a gig in ledd than 2 weeks.

yes if you use the Midi page's or sm pages or other pages the fader and Encoder(led) will update. (and the Encoder groups will also update the leds)

aslo if you drag a fader with the mouse the fader will also move

also nice to know is you have two different way's of Midi mapping.(you can also use Midiox or Bome's miditranslator, but i am not sure if the motor will still update)
1. Freestyler, Midi page 1,2,3,4,5 / Page independant / Shift
2. BCf2000 , You can map the encouder in to 4 groups so you have 4groups X 8 Buttons and 8 Encouders so 64Midi note's (you can do all of this with Bc_edit)

You have 15 MIDI to DMX faders you can assign, and the number in the name is just for the fader, not the DMX channel. You write in the channel column which DMX channel you want to control in the MIDI configuration window.

If you want to have the "MIDI to DMX" fader to control multiple DMX channels (let's say you want to control pan for all fixtures with only one fader) you may have to use the patch configuration in FS. But be careful if you also use submasters.

My BCF2000 in in the shipper's hands. It's an 8 hour drive away. That means I should see it in less than 4 days. Yay! I've got my PC & monitor already mounted in a carrying case. I should post some pix when it's done.
