This may be basic but going through the software and manuals I'm having trouble picturing when one would differentiate between the "programmable buttons" and the "cue list". When I import the actual sequence it looks like this is automatically sent to both menus. Is the "programmable" side mainly for importing and previewing sequences or can either be used for a live performance.

Which one do you use during a performance or does it really not matter?
