Freestyler used in classrooms question

Hi there. I'm a stagecraft teacher in my local public school and I am going to be using freestyler as a important learning tool for students.
The unit we are in is lighting design, students are to design a light show to music with music via timecode. We are going to install freestyler in a computer lab with over 30 computers and use the sunlite visulizer.
Is there a way to download the students cues and timecode onto a flash drive and put it on the computer that has the enttec pro built into it? Is it also possible to use the sunlight visulizer with fixtures it doesn't have in its library? Sunlight visulizer fixture creater?
Please let me know ASAP as our unit starts in less than and week.
Thanks so much.
Matt

this can be done using the backup restore option in freestyler file -> Backup / Restore, it is possible to setup your own fixtures in sunlite however it is probably best to visit there site as they have a wealth of fixture files and also excellent tutorials.

Thank you Matt.
This "backup restore" feature will transfer all the cues and TIMECODE to the main computer? I just want to be sure.
And is there a way to extend the amount of cues in that little list? I think some students may thing that isn't enough.
Thanks

it certainly will backup all the cues, unsure about the time code.
You may want to look at the Theater Stack addon GoMonkey, this will allow you to over come the 20 cues and is designed primary for this type of job.

Hmm. I am looking at it, and it seems very good, though I cannot find 1 thing. Timecode. Can you do timecode with this? Can the show be put onto a flash drive and transferred to another computer?

Unfortunately Freestyler and the Go monkey at present does not support any form of time code.
They both do support timers thou, so whilst unable to sync to music oor midi its the best the software currently supports.
to backup to usb both the freestylers backup file and the Gomonkeys sequence file will need to be transferred to the new machine.

Does the timer work so I can have certain cues be activated by a timer counting up from zero?
That would be in a sense of timecode, but i don't know if thats how that software works.

yes that's exactly how it works Freestyler would limit it you to triggering one cue at a time and upto 20 cues per show.
GoMonkey will allow upto 20 cues to be triggered at a time and virtually unlimited cues per show

not in one instance no. you can have unlimited cues but only 20 playing at any one time
