Can't program color scroll into cue

I'm programming a new 60 watt LED scanner I've started importing from China and everything is going great so far except for one thing. I'm following the Wiki guide on how to great submasters. I have the movement, gobo, gobo shake, etc. all working, but when I create the color submaster which includes color scroll, the color scroll does nothing when I hit the Run button. If I can control the color scroll with the individual panel controls and then save it as a scene and then save that scene along with all the other color scenes as a cue, it should work. It's a wheel just like the gobo wheel and I can get that one to work in the submaster cue window. I double checked and I have the little side button set to off as per the Wiki instructions. It is not set to snap or fade. Anyone have any ideas that might help me?

Same thing for gobo rotate and prism. I can control everything just fine through the individual panels, just not through the submaster. As a work around, I have movements programmed and in the submaster and I select them and then do my colors and prisms, gobo rotate, etc. through the regular panels. It seems to work so far.

there's your problem. if you have the mentioned button (next to a fader to the right) set to off, the value is not programmed into the sequence.
post a link to the instructions, then I check if something is wrong

Here is the link to the Cues and Submasters tutorial I was reffering to:
http://www.freestylersupport.com/wiki/submasters
Here is the section that says to have all attributes set to off except the ones you want saved.:
In the movement window select 'circle' and the click the off button to on and change the pan and tilt from off (show in red) to Fade (which will appear in green). Note that all the other attributes show as 'Off' – This is important as we want to make sure that they are all off so that no information is recorded for them. If any are showing as 'fade' (in green) or 'snap' (in yellow), change it to 'off' now.

In that section only about the movement is talked. So if you want to have a sequence just moving your mirrows of course you set all other channels to off. But there is also the explonation about what off means in: "This is important as we want to make sure that they are all off so that no information is recorded for them."
You can take a look inside the help coming with freestyler (FS Menu --> Help --> Contents) about creating sequences. There you will finde soma information about Off, Snap and Fade in combination with static or transparent as sequence type.
