Hello all, I have just installed Freestyler for the first time. I have added four par fixtures and am trying to control their values but on the pop out palet to the right I only get one slider how do I get a slider for each fixture as shown in the instructions?

Hi and welcome to FS and the forum.

You get a slider for each CHANNEL the selected fixture has. If you select more then one fixture, the channels will be shared (means: the intensity slider will controll the intensity of ALL selecte fixtures).

If you are new to FS you should look at the help brought to you by the programm and the Wiki: http://www.freestylersupport.com/wiki/
Lots of questions will be answered there. If any questions reamin, feel free to ask :)

if you want a slider for each par can on the same time you should add one "four par cans" fixture in stead of four "one par can" fixtures...

I have visited the Wiki site and once again it clearly shows a slider for every fixture I have followed what it says but do not get the same result. I have tried adding four par cans at once with no difference.Surely for ease of setup it is necessary to have a row of fixtures all with their own sliders so that you can set the values and save the scene.

I do not belive that the wiki site shows one slider for every fixture. This is simply not possible with FS. Pleas send me the link to that page.

What LJ_krede.dk wantes to say is not to add four par cans at once. You have to add one fixture designed for 4 par cans (like the "PAR 64"-"4 PAR 64L").
During creating a scene you can select one fixture after the other (or multiple fixtures you want to do the same) and set up the DMX values. When done all fixtures you will go on with the next step.
In a small setup you will be right: on slider per fixture would be usefull but think about a setup with all 512 DMX channels in use. Do you realy want to see one slider per channel? And mayby in the future there will be a second universe with another 512 channels... Does not look very helpful for me to have one slide per channel ;)
