User created scene issue - Movement only jumps to first step

Hi!

Its my first post so hope I provide enough information for help. Im ussing Freestyler 3.3.6 and I have created some shapes/movements for my roboscans 812 that when I test through the scene/step creator they all jump to the correct posistions. I have saved the steps/scene and then added them to a button but when i press the button i have added them to, it only jumps to the first posistion and no further.

I have loaded the preset shapes to the buttons and they all work correctly.

Any ideas why this might be happening?

Hi Matty and welcome to the FS support forum

the override buttons only plays the first step in a sequence. The override buttons main purpose is to set "instant looks" like Flash/strobe, Colour, Position, blackout, gobo and so on. use the cue window and/or submasters to play the entire sequence

if you not already did it i will suggest you read the help file in FS and the FS wiki page to have a understanding what FS can do for you. if you still have question feel free to post them on this support forum.

Ah, I see! I did have a look but I have to say that becuase I could set the preset shapes as override buttons and they all worked fine that I thought there must be a way to do it! It threw me a little.

I can see why you were confused.. a shape is only one step sequence, thats why it works on the override buttons..
