digital enlightenment does nothing

Hi there !
I have a problem with my DE interface: It works without a problem in DMXC but in freestyler it does ...nothing
I choosed it in the setup but nothing happens. The green dmx led is off too. Any idea what to do ?

1) Is the drive installed correctly? (Check Device Manager)
2) will it work with other software on the same computer?

Hi!
Problem solved:
I installed freestyler in a virtual machine (xp) and added the interface to the vm: worked.
So its a driver conflict on my OS (not the first one with USB devices).

Hi,
host os is windows 7.
Hmm i reinstalled freestyler completly but that didn't change anything. I read about problems with the so called "suidi" driver.

The guy in the linked forum seems to have the same problem like me (as me or like me?
).
I installed freestyler on my laptop today (windows xp) and it worked directly.
Maybe a driver conflict with windows 7 ?

So it sounds like a driver issue.
This is what i would do.
1) Plug in Adapter.
2) go to Device Manager and remove the device.
3) unplug adapter.
4) download latest driver from manfc. website
5) install driver
6) plug in adapter
7) make sure new driver loads.
If the driver does not load, you can do a Update Driver (right click on it in device manager) and manually specify the driver.

hmm i don't need a driver. I plug it in und windows detects the device as a standard USB Input device and installs automaticily its standard USB Input driver.

ehm the problem is this part:

what driver? I still don't have or need one. The device works perfect wth DMX Controll in Windows 7.
So far as i know i can't remove windows standard USB driver...

I am not sure where to obtain the driver.. I tried to Google it but none of the results where in english.
I would try to contact support and see what they say. DMX Interfaces use different drivers. Some interfaces will work with multiple drivers..
