Totally Screwed Myself

So last week 9 24 to be exact, I'm figuring it would be good to back up my system as I have added several new lights.
I click back up, the window opens, I name the back up file FS 9 24.fbf and close the program.

Last night live I went to open the program and it starts prompting for a dongle omg...
All of my fixture files and icons are GONE!

So I begin to calmly proceed with the restore process.
I find the back up file and it appears to load up, prompting that nothing will save until the program restarts.
Restart the program and NOTHING is there.

At this point I frantically rip out the user guides for all of these lights and start resetting dip switches for sound active.

So I am at a total loss for what went wrong at this point.

I searched and found nothing of help.
Any ideas?

One thing i do recomend to also do is back up the whole folder located in

c:\program files\freestyler

Just ZIP that folder up and put on pen drive to keep working backup..

As for what happend... who knows.. You can try to email me your backup files and i can see what i can do to recover them.

I have noticed that after a restore the icons do not show up on the desktop. You must go in and remove then add the fixtures to have them show up. Everything else seems to restore fine. I have noticed this for a few builds on different machines.

Well I upgraded to the H version beta and all is good after I reloaded my fixtures.
Kudos to who ever provided the fixture file including macros for every pattern of the Chauvet Scorpion.
It has it all, very well done.

Another problem I have repeatedly seen is the inability to open all of the panels when selecting a light and clicking on "show all panels" next to Cue.
I find I have to click the fixture button, select light there and then the show all panels button to get the macros, colors, gobos etc...to show up.
This has ALWAYS done this regardless of version.

Anybody else seen this?

it will only show the panels for the last selected fixture, so if you select multiple types of fixtures not all will open.
Make a request in the forum for an improved show all and it maybe added in a future release.
