DMX400 basic question

Hello,

Long time no see, didn't use FS for a while. I just upgraded to 3.3.2 from 3.0.1,quite a big step but seems it went fine, phew!
I have added a 4 way Eurolite dimmer @ channel 15 and I want to use it with DMX400.
I right click on it and select "use in DMX400" but then it asks me "please fill in the desired DMX400 channel (1 to 12)", and whatever I put here I get an error message "This fixture hasn't got an intensity channel and is not an RGB fixture." For sure, but I don't understand the use of this parameter?
Didn't find a DMX400 tutorial either.

Thanks.

you need to add par 64's (or fixtures with only on channel which is the intensity) instead of your dimmer fixture to use the DMX 400. the numbers 1 to 12 represent the faders in DMX400. thereby you assign each channel of your dimmer to a fader. then you can use the DMX400

you got the error message because you tried to a a fixture with more than one channel which was not RGB/CMY controls.

Good evening,

Works fine, perfect, DMX400 is nice, the bg, master and fade allow interesting effects :-)

Thanks.
