Maybe post the manual and/or DMX channel description to get people started?

My bad, I need sleep.

Here's the manual.

http://www.chauvetlighting.com/products ... .0_UM1.pdf

It's a 6 channel controller for all the lights but this one is just way over my head.

Thanks to anybody that can help me out. If you're in Chicago area free drinks on the house @ Club BizZare if we can get this thing going..

Wow, you are right. Quiet a lot modes...

I had a short look to the table(s) and would start over like this:
Define a RGB fixture using channels 2-5 for RGB
Define channel 6 as strobe.

Define channel 1 as a "mode" channel. Controll this by macros or a gobo-wheele channel.
Define channel 5 as a "speed" channel. Controll this by macros or a gobo-wheele channel.

Set up all macros/gobos for all the modes you need. Of course there will be a macro/gobo position for "dimmer", thenn one for "red", "green", ... Perhaps you do not want to have all the preset modes in your fixture file. Then find out wich are the best ones and just programm them.

With this setup you should be able to controll the lights. But not every channel will have any function then. For example when using value 006-011 on channel 1 the RGB channels will have no affect to your fixture. Same with the strobe channel when sending 072-173 on channel 1.

I do not say that this is the right way to generate a fixture file. Perhaps someone has an better idea. But this is one way.

I was about to make one for you, then realised that I didn't have the time with all the pictures I'd have to make for all the different modes...

So here's how i would do it:
Total channels: 6
Enable CMY/RGB
RGB Values
1st Color Chanel: 1 - Number colors: 43
Red Channel: 2
Green Channel: 3
Blue Channel: 4
Strobe Channel: 6 - Off: 0 - Low: 10 - Med: 135 - High:255 (feel free to adjust these to your desired speed values)
Intensity Channel: 5 - Min: 0 - Max: 255 (use for speed of modes)

Then name channels:
1: Color/Mode - Locate: 0
2: Red/SND FX - Locate: 255
3: Green - Locate: 255
4: Blue - Locate: 255
5: FX Speed - Locate: 0
6: Strobe - Locate: 0

Then Colorwheel: (would need to make most images)
0 - dim
6 - Red
12 - Green
18 - Blue
24 - Yellow
30 - Cyan
36 - Magenta
42 - White
48 - RGB change
54 - RMBCGYW change
60 - Rainbow 1
66 - Rainbow 2
72 - RGB Flow
78 - RMBCGYW flow
84 -
90 -
96 -
102 -
108 -
114 -
120 -
126 -
132 -
138 -
144 -
150 -
156 -
162 -
168 -
174 -
180 -
186 -
192 -
198 -
204 -
210 -
216 -
222 -
228 -
234 -
240 -
246 -
250 - SND
(i got lazy and didn't fill out all the modes but you get the ides)

Then Macros: (used for sound modes, Once again alot of images to make)
> CH1: 250 - CH2: 7 - Back R Active G
> CH1: 250 - CH2: 14 -
> CH1: 250 - CH2: 21 -
> CH1: 250 - CH2: 28 -
> CH1: 250 - CH2: 35 -
> CH1: 250 - CH2: 42 -
> CH1: 250 - CH2: 49 -
> CH1: 250 - CH2: 56 -
> CH1: 250 - CH2: 63 -
> CH1: 250 - CH2: 70 -
> CH1: 250 - CH2: 84 -
> CH1: 250 - CH2: 91 -
> CH1: 250 - CH2: 98 -
> CH1: 250 - CH2: 105 -
> CH1: 250 - CH2: 112 -
> CH1: 250 - CH2: 119 -
> CH1: 250 - CH2: 126 -
> CH1: 250 - CH2: 133 -
> CH1: 250 - CH2: 140 -
> CH1: 250 - CH2: 147 -
> CH1: 250 - CH2: 154 -
> CH1: 250 - CH2: 168 -
> CH1: 250 - CH2: 175 -
> CH1: 250 - CH2: 182 -
> CH1: 250 - CH2: 189 -
> CH1: 250 - CH2: 196 -
> CH1: 250 - CH2: 203 -
> CH1: 250 - CH2: 210 -
> CH1: 250 - CH2: 217 -
> CH1: 250 - CH2: 224 -
> CH1: 250 - CH2: 231 -
> CH1: 250 - CH2: 238 -
> CH1: 250 - CH2: 245 -
> CH1: 250 - CH2: 252 -
(once again, you get the idea)

That should get you going nicely with a profile. Good luck :D
