While running software going sound active from light mic??

Hello everyone, I have a question for whoever can help. I recently bought the American DJ LED Starball DMX and was testing it tonight on Freestyler using an Entec Open DMX interface. My question is this...when I shut down Freestyler, this light goes to it's own internal mic sound active mode. This is a cool feature which randomly shows the various strobes and rotations. I would like to know is there a way to make this light switch to this mode and not have to shut down freestyler while I still have the DMX cables hooked up for an occasional sound active song? I have checked the DMX user manual for this light and it does not mention any DMX settings to make it go sound active. I realize there is a sound active button in freestyler and have played with that but it does not make this light perform like it does when it is in its own sound active mode.
Thanks
Jay

why not imitate it.
Find out what you like from "Stand alone".
And make your won sequences to match it, you can put it in random mode, and sound to light mode.

If the DMX interface doesn't have that sound active option, then it hasn't.
So to enable that sound active mode you have to make sure that no DMX signal gets into the fixture.
Like you said, you could shutdown FreeStyler (with an Enttec Pro that won't help by the way, thats keeps sending the DMX signal while there is power).
Or you could just disconnect the XLR cable from your USB to DMX interface.
Or (and now it gets really dirty): get a single fixture dimmerpack or switchpack. Assign it to some free DMX channel, use it to control a bipolar relais. With that relais you switch the DMX signal to your fixture off (you interrupt it). For this to work, the fixture needs to be the last fixture on the chain with no fixtures following, as they will not receive any DMX also when engaged.
Now, when you select that dimmer in FS, and make the value 255, the relais becomes active, it breaks the DMX signal, your fixture goes into sound active mode.
Create and use this on your own risk and MAKE SURE that you connect the relais properly so that power and DMX signals are not tied together... (as you might destroy just about every hardware connected, including youself). So with that in mind, it would be an idea to use a 12 Volt relais and a small adapter connected to the dimmer/switch. Thats a lot safer.
