Do you know any reasons why this shouldn't work? I tried it several times but it just doesn't work. Changing the frame rate of my Enttec USB PRO makes no difference. This solution was described in another topic.

Maybe you should tell whats not working and what is, before asking us why 'it' does'nt work?

Sorry, was in the understanding that I posted this in the other topic, or a link to that topic.

In the other topic they told that you can change the refresh rate of the Enttec USB DMX Pro to make the laser react. I tried this, but no effect.

What works:
- Turning off / on the laser over DMX
- Turning on / off sound to light

Wat doesn't work:
- Everything else (change colour, patrons, macros, etc).

Did you have a look at the 'mode' channel, what its for?

From the manual:

Mode: 0-69 laser off; 70-209 sound mode; 210-255 DMX mode
....
Please note that according to the pattern, not all effect channels are
activated. E.g. you can’t move dynamic patterns, etc.

So, when setting the mode channel to DMX mode (210 - 255), it works, right?

Nope, it doesn't.

Sound to light does something in auto mode. DMX 'works' which means that the program reacts sometimes, but doesn't make the changes I selected. So instead of turning red the beam just changes or something. It 's allr andom and I am not able to test it now. cause I am on vacation. Will ask one of the people in my crew to have a look at it asap.

To make things clear:

It seems like the dmx-channels described in the manual are not the same as the channels from the laser itself. The fixture we added to Freestyler looks correctly compared to the channels described in de manual of the laser. However, since the channels on the laser are different, the laser will not respond as you would expect. For example:changing the focus will make the laser beam tilt. Some channels respond correct, but other channels make no sense.

How did you come to that idea?
Maybe you adressed the fixture incorrectly, is it a dipswitch configured fixture? If so, double check the adress.

The dmx-adress of the laser is exactly the same as in Freestyler, so that's not the problem. It looks like
1) Both the manual and the fixture are wrong, or
2) The laser is malfunctioning

It's a brand new laser (purchased 2 weeks ago) so i hope the channels in the manual and the fixture are wrong.

Thats were a lot of users go in the wrong direction. The image that FreeStyler shows can be misread very, very easily.

Lets think for ourselves, without the use of FreeStyler.
What DMX channel did you configure in FreeStyler for the laser?
And what dips are in the ON position on the laser?
With this info please recalculate the DMX channel, just to be sure.
How to do so can be found in the manual and on this forum. Its just a simple binary number.

The dip-switches which are swiched on are 3/6/7. The dmx-adress in Freestyler is 100.

Hello, i'm new to using dmx. I bought this laser with a seperate dmx-controller, but that doesn't work how i want it to. I want to use my computer for controlling the laser. I don't know which usb-controller i need to buy, and if this settings work well for this laser ? Anyone ?

I’m curious if the problem as discribed in this post has been solved?

I have a Laserworld EL-200RGY. All functions work fine via a ‘normal’ dmx controller.
Now i have made a fixture for 10 dmx channels. I programmed channel 1= on/off, channel 8= color
Channel 1 works fine, but there’s no response from channel 8. The laser does repond to channel 10 like it should be doing on channel 8… What am i doing wrong? (Freestyler dmx channel=1, dip switch 1 on laser)

One other thing is that the color red is normal, while green is strobing very fast? (This isn’t the case on a ‘normal’ dmx controller)

I'm using Freestyler 3.3.2 with a dmx4all nano usb interface

I also have the same problems with the Laserworld EL-200RGY. Did anybody solve it?

got the same problem, in 2 weeks i will solve it,.......

the laser is working but the the channels from the book is wrong search my fixture this works 100%

i have a 100% working fixture datei the adress from the manual is wrong, but pan and tilt doesn`t work i have no idea why

Included manual indicates 10 ch.
but something is wrong ;
On Laserworld website the downloadable manual reports that this device has 13 Channels

"terminator" has shared with us his fixture (see page 2 on this topic)
but I do not see the yellow color on the 1st colorwheel ! why ?

As I told before I HAVE the manual bundled with the laser and , YES it indicates 10 ch.
Using your fixture do not solve the problems.

Just got in contact with Laserworld about this matter.
The answer was:
"This EL-200RGY usually has 13 channels."
USUALLY ? ...
And they sent me the manual ... with 13 channels.

Anyhow after readapt the fixture to 13 channels, the stupid laser does what he wants...not what I expected


Nothing is logical in this device through DMX !

I noticed that when you control the laser with hardware (dmx-table) then everything works fine, when you use a usb/to dmx plug it doesnt work how it supposed to be.

Channels for moving left/right and up/down makes the laser going nuts. Also channel 2 doesnt react at all. When moving fader of channel 3, thats channel 2 ?! Euhm, i really regret that i bought this laser. And now i really want a ilda laser, couse this isn't what i expected...

Yes offcourse you should have bought a ilda laser

but still a normal (hardware) table and a USB-> DMX device shuold act the same there are no differnce.
its all the DMX protocal.
