Hi guys,

I am just trying to get freestyler 3.31 working on a new laptop and so have done a fresh install.
When I click on 3d button in freestyler nothing seems to happen.

The function works fine on my old laptop, and I can also run freestyler individually on the new laptop. So I assume it must be an installation issue.
I installed all the software with default options and locations.

Final thing I noticed s the following entries in the freestyler512.log file:
21/04/2010 22:10:48 Object variable or With block variable not set; Easy3d; stop; Line 40

Anyone else had this problem, any ideas?

B.

maybe a stupid question but did you choose to install magic3D during the install?

http://www.freestylersupport.com/wiki/f ... _easy_view

if you did, try if you can start magic3d directly and not by freestyler. You should find the EasyView.exe (and the appurtenant folders (EasyViewLibrary, EasyView_data, ScanLibrary) in the freestyler folder

HI there LJ,

I did indeed, thats what is a bit confusing..
Those files and folders are in the c:\freestyler folder along with the freestyler installation.

Easyview does work if you run it manually but obviously not connected to freestyler.

Very odd, it all looks like it should work, it just... doesnt!

What version of 3d are you running? Quite iftern sunlight update their software which breaks it for freestyler. This usualy goes undetected unroll people setup fs for the first time having to download 3d

Interesting, sounds likely as date on easyview says 19 march 2010

cant see a vrsion number though, although it does have the office 2007 ribbon interface.

Any idea how to fix it?

Ok, I have found a workaround by just copying the whole freestyler folder over from the old laptop.

Probably still needs fixng if anyone else is having this trouble though!
