It will do that and there is no way around it sorry.

I suspect that you are operating you lights in 'manual mode' and want to leave these windows for different fixtures open to make changes on the fly.
The reason you cannot have all these windows open is this is the way FS is and you should be using these windows to program sequences to playback from the cue window, not running shows. Sorry if I got this wrong but Ive seen this many times before.

... for example when you select a scanner or moving head; the pan/tilt window wil show
Then you select a PAR spot. Whats the point of showing the pan/tilt window then? What on earth would you then do with it? You can't control pan/tilt controls for a PAR spot.

Tell us what your goal is. We'll tell you a better way... I hope. ;)

Yup. I think many people only see the very basic ways of using FS and never go much past that. Its so important that people understand the full picture with any lighting control. In FS that means using Cues and Submasters to control your shows. Its not really any different with other controllers.

In breif, submaster control will allow you to run different groups of information relating to each atribute of a fixture. So you can mix and match info to create many 'looks' with just a few chases for each atribute.

see the submaster tutorial for more info - http://www.freestylersupport.com/fsforu ... f=5&t=1803
