Problem with JMS USB2DMX device

Hello all
I Have bought a JMS USB2DMX device from eBay to use with freestyler, works great, a part from that it 'locks up' every hour or so. The red LED is on the device, but no DMX signal is being received to the fixtures. So I have to unplug it, close down freestyler then plug the USB2DMX device back in and restart freestyler.
It’s starting to get to me now!!
The fixtures I’m using are a set of 4 Martin Mx-4s which go into a sound to light mode once no DMX signal is being received.

Please help me sort this problem out!!!

Cheers dave

I have sent an e-mail to the ebay seller explaining the problem.
I'm guessing the problem is because it's cheap to buy.

For just a lil bit more money, you could of got the Enttec Pro for $136. It's what most of us here use. I have not any troubles with mine or heard of anyone else saying their's failed. It's worth every penny. Freestyler is free :fs: , so it makes for a perfect match.

I suggest upgrading to the Enttec Pro.

Good Luck

I'm from the uk so need to buy the DMX interface here from the uk which works will freestyler.

I would of bought Martin's lightjockey DMX interface just that its a little too much money.

Enttec Pro all the way. Hands down the best usb-dmx interface to use and very well supported on this forum and others too.

Aside from Onges suggestion of where to buy one, you can get it direct from Enttec via their website and you can use paypal to purchase - 125 EUR.

I got mine direct from them (im also in the UK) with no problems

that did not make a difference with that interface... its just a startup model for people who only want to control their stroboscope or something like that...
not for proffessional purposes

So reviving an old post. I'm using an ADJ MYDMX dongle and I have the same problem. Whenever the USB cable gets bumped or something 'locks up' I lose all connection and have to unplug the USB cable, plug it back in, then restart Freestyler to get a signal again. Did Enttec Pro fix the problem?
