martin 2308 controller ??

hello all
i bought a 2308 martin controller,think its a 96 model,as it says on one of the chips.The problem is when i plug it in it flashes up robo,then 611,then just comes up " _In_ ". no matter what i do i can,t seem to get rid of it,nothing seems to work on the controller.i looked up the instructions from the martin website,when you press enter it resets it then,it all should work,sort of thing. have i bought a dud

sounds like it corrupt. i would try master reset or contact seller of item.
