Override Buttons

As well as being "Flash" or "Latch", Would it be possible to make the override buttons
"Add" as well as "Solo"??. This would really help me in the way I use Freestyler, which I
have just used for lighting a Three day Blues festival with no problems at all.

Not quite sure what you mean by 'add' as well as 'solo'.
The overide buttons serve one purpose only, total overide control of a channel or channels, as programmed, in a single static scene.
If you want to add different atributes together look at using cue buttons / submasters.

What do you want to add then? Can you give an simple example?
And "Solo" can be done by setting "Disable all other buttons" on the button you like. If you press that button, all others are released.

Maybe you can rightklick these (cue-)Buttons and use it as a FLASH-Button

when you are programming a sequence in Freestyler you can choose to make a transparent sequence (add) or a static sequence (solo). if you dont want all channels to be controlled by the solo button (lets say movements) you can just turn the snap button to off.

For example to do an "Add" I could create scenes/sequences for each colour of a light and I could make it so that I could press "RED" and it turns "RED" then I could press "BLUE" and it turns "BLUE" now if I press "BLUE" again to release it "RED" is still active so it turns "RED.
in Freestyler the RED override will turn off because the BLUE buttons uses the same channels. then you just have to click on RED again to turn back to that colour

Thats how the cue works (when Multiselect is enabled), the Cue works LTP (Latest Takes Presedence), so creating a sequence for red and another sequence for blue would do that job.
Starting the red sequence, will turn the light red, then starting the blue, will turn the light blue, when releasing blue, it will turn red again.
There is a bit of a nasty trick to get the same result to work in the Override buttons by makeing sure that you config 2 buttons for the color channel you want to set with some other "bogus" channel to some bogus value, say 0. For both buttons use a unique bogus channel, the value does'nt matter.
If you don't use the bogus channel, you can't have button 1 and 2 active at the same time (as FreeStyler autoreleases the first one pressed - They switch eachother off). But if you use two unique bogus channels inside the sequences, you will be able to have both buttons active and then LTP (again) is used. So pressing red, light becomes red, pressing blue, light becomes blue, releasing blue, light becomes red. Nasty is'nt it?

But it works.
Lets wait for dekw1's answer what and how he wants to use it.
Maybe its an idea to make that hardcoded "autorelease other button that uses exactly the same channels" configurable just like the "flash button" function with default to "on" as that is the way it works now. Then that nasty workaround would not be needed for this situation. (as I have used this nasty one quite a lot).

When using the override buttons for controlling par cans, say button 1 = red par can
2 = blue
3 = green,etc
I want to press button 1 & 2, to have both par cans on ("add").
I have not got into using "cues" within Freestyler yet,
Cheers

I still don't get it, as people could interpret you post multiple ways.
Are you saying that you use 3 par cans, 1 red, 1 green, 1 blue and want 3 override buttons to put the parcans on and off?
Thats should be working. Please explain more and what you've done to test this.

You should.

I want to be able to hold all three buttons down, and have all three par cans on together.

So I understood it good.
And as I posted, it is possible. By just making 3 sequences, with sequence controlling just 1 light, add that to the buttons and it works, as it should.
If not; come back and explain exactly what you have done.
