Problems with 3.0

I upgraded to 3.0 when it first came out, but switched back to 2.96j because I like the ball moving for the shapes. I recently wanted to redo all my addressing on all my lights, because each time I bought a new light, I would address it to the end of the daisy chain. I had several of the same kind of lights, but their addresses where all of the map. So to help with grouping, I addressed the similar lights next to each other. I figured l would try 3.0 again since I was basically starting all my programming from scratch. I backed up all my 2.96j files, re-addressed the lights, uninstalled 2.96j, deleted the Freestyler folder from the Program files and installed 3.0. I added all my lights and started re-creating some of my scenes and sequences I had in 2.96j.
The first problem I had was I could not create new folders when saving. I kept getting, "path cannot be found". So I go in the Windows directory to the "Chases" folder in Freestyler and create the folder myself. Go back in Freestyler and try to save again. It takes it this time. This of coarse was annoying for each folder I had to recreate.
The second problem was I had to click new sequence, click save and name it before I even clicked on the first light. I would get "path not found" if I didn't do it that way. Weird. So now the new sequence has a name, but I had to literally click "Save" and overrite the file name for each change I made on each light in the sequence. The quick save wasn't working either. After creating a seven step sequence and all was the way I wanted things, I click save again and save to cue.
The third problem - when running the sequences from the Cue window, the dimmer channels for the moving heads would go to zero. The heads would move the way I programmed, but no light output. Close the Cue, open the sequence from the sequence builder and the dimmer channels are back to 255 just like I programmed it. Close the sequence builder, open Cue, dimmer channels back to zero in my sequence. I tried clearing the Cue list and add everything back to the Cue again, but dimmer channels still zero when running from the Cue window. WTF !
I added the saved Cues to the Submaster anyway and the dimmer channels would open sometimes, but mostly not. I go back to the sequence builder and all works fine, just like I programmed it.

After trying 3.0 on two seperate computers (laptop and desktop) and 4 solid days of fighting with it, I uninstalled 3.0 and reloaded 2.96j.

Maybe its good to know that the last couple of months a large group of people is beta testing a new release of FreeStyler. Now it seems it would be released soon.
Maybe all your problems are solved in that version.

Looking through all the problems you have Shannon, I can honestly say that Ive NOT seen these problems. All a bit strange really. I think the new version thats coming soon will work well for you (i hope!). There are lots of new 'chase generator' type features that make programming complex sequencies dead easy. Ive been using beta 3.22 on some live gigs and had no problems at all.

How much longer before the release? I am anxious to get my hands on it. I am about to be off from work for 14 days, so I will have time to work on Freestyler some more.
As metioned in an earlier post, my 3.0 copy could of possibly been corrupt. I can try to download again. Last time, I uninstalled my previous version, deleted the Freestyler folder from the C/Program files folder, then installed 3.0. Anything I missed?

Will the chases and cues from 3.0 carry over to 3.22?
