Problems with Martin Roboscan 812s

Hi,

I'm a complete newby with Freestyler - still getting used to it, but finding it fun being able to control my lights (well only one LED Par 56 actually connected so far!) from my laptop!

I've set up some of my lights on the system - 4x LED Par 56s and 4x Martin Roboscan 812s (had to download this from the forum).

I'm also using the Magic 3D Easy View software as part of the Freestyler installation.

I've set up my stage with Magic (using the 7 channel 812s to match Freestyler), and things don't seem to be working quite right.

The Par 56s are fine, but the 812s aren't quite right. They react to Pan/Tilt, but I have absolutely no control over Lamp/Colour/Gobo. Having checked the DMX readings in Magic, the correct signals are getting through, but not being handled.

I've not had opportunity to set up the lights for real to see if the DMX signals are really being outputted from the driver, as I was really hoping to set some shows up virtually before I got that far.

I'm not sure if this is the best board to write this is, so forgive me if it's not - but please help!

Thanks,

Andrew.

I am not sure but believe the 812s have DMX pins reversed and you need an adapter to make them work. I could be wrong

The problem's not with the 'real' scans, but the virtual ones in Magic. The beam is always on white with a full open gobo.
