Hey everyone,
First off thank you for the help before hand.
I am 100% new to DMX. Currently I only have one fixture, and that fixture in question is the ADJ, Emerald Sky Laser. The unit is supposed to create multiple sky effects over a crowd. It has two channels and I am completely baffled by the fixture creater as it doesnt have anything that seems to be particular to a laser unit like the one I have.
You will find the manual here
http://www.americandj.com/ProductDetail ... ory=Lasers
The DMX section is on the last page. Would it be possible for someone to create a fixture profile for this light? I was not able to find any information or videos on what I am trying to do with this light, which is mainly being able to control / set up a sky laser unit.
Thank you!

Re: ADJ Emerald Sky Help
it is a easy fixture to make for this laser because it only has two parameters you can change (2 channels).
Heres what I would do, If i should make a fixture for this laser:
I wouldn't use any of the paramters which is at the first page in the fixture creator, but make macro's for the 2 channels at the macro page. I would make it so the macro window in freestyler consists 2 lines of icons for the macros, one line for the type of line (channel 1) and one for the patterns (channel 2). see if you can find some icons which make sense for the different functions, or make them by yorself (open a existing icon, change it to what you like and save it with another name). Theres a lot of options how to make the fixture file but I think my way is simple, and easy and quick to make and control in freestyler.
Try to give it a go. If you have some problems, try to export the fixture as a pff-file and upload it to this topic, then people will help you.
you can also try to look at this tutorial on Youtube and see if that would make you understand how the fixture creator works:

Re: ADJ Emerald Sky Help
I see what you are saying with the macros. Is there a way to assign a MIDI Knob or Fader to the macro that will change the value with in a certain parameter?
it did work this way
I also noticed that I was unable to use sound activation this way.
If I could get sound activation to work, and if I could get some faders that would work, that I could MIDI assign, I would be very appreciative.
What should I do in order to be able to use the light in the way described above? What changes would you recommend to my file?
Thank you!

Great Job, Onge, looks greatOnge wrote:I have created all new icons for these Macros.
Regarding the midi control.. you can assign two faders to the two dmx channels the laser is using.. for example... if you have the laser on address 211, you assign two faders to 211 and 212.. remember when you are moving the faders you will scroll through the dmx values, so the laser will change line/patterns while moving the faders...
another option is to use override buttons and assign the to midi.
a third option is the submaster.
