I can understand that. I myself am not a huge fan of Fleabay for many of the same reasons.
Thats why I think an 'In House' buying / selling section could be a route back to what I (we) used to love about ebay.
It is right to say that it would be hard or impossible to have a proper dispute resolution program but I think thats where the 'Friends' bit comes in.
As friends with a common interest I would hope that we could all trade like adults and conduct ourselves accordingly.
Detailed descriptions, fair prices, honest people.
I know that people are not always honest but this is not ebay. Ebay is full of unscruplious people interested in making lots of money an simply ripping honest people off.

I would propose that if you wanted to buy / sell on this forum that you have a minimum number of posts and that you are seen to be a regular user / contributor.
That would help to keep the rip off chancers away.

Any thoughts ?

I think you are right Adam. Dont spend money on this. As Ive said to you before, why not use the exsisting forum ?

One thread for 'Wanted' and one for 'For Sale' on the main page: http://www.freestylersupport.com/fsforum.

Surley its worth doing a trial run for a few months and then IF it takes off consider expanding. Small steps and all that ...

I dont think everybody looks at the 'new posts' section when they log in. Only those sado's like me and the other regular posters (you know who you are!)
would have seen this topic so the 3 yes votes, 1 no and 2 maybes may not be the voice of the forum. The water needs further testing i think.
