Hi everyone,

i have been using this software for about 4 days now and just getting the hang of it, i am now at the stage where i would like to do lighting for a music show. I dont have a interface using the virtual at the minute.

How can i do dynamic/flashing lighting to music, ive done a sequence but i believe could only have 15 steps, and i havent quite figured out the cue list or submasters yet.

Help would be VERY appreciated.

Regards

Aaron

What kind of music show are we talking here?

Do you mean a gig where there will be lots of different bands playing?

If so, best bet would be to create a load of chases (using the sequence creator) and then put them into the cue list. You can then run them at different times and sync them to the music.

Interface wise - Enttec Open USB DMX or if you can afford it the Enttec PRO dongle.

How to change the max number of steps in a sequence

How to use Submasters

you can also make some sequences, save it in some cues and thne put the cues on the cuelist bottons. that makes it fast and easy to change the lights and the view.

Thanks everyone for your replies!

i managed to change the .ini file.

I have figured out alot today however what i want to do now if possible is i have created 2 different sequences, 1 with par's and 1 with Mac 700's 31 Ch, is there a way of putting them into a cue list and playin them both at the same time? i tried this with multiple select but it still only plays one. its asif 1 over rides each other.

Many idea's would be appreciated!

Thanks again

Is multiselect enabled in the FreeStyler setup?

If not, then you can only start 1 cue at a time. Starting the second will disable the first.
If multiselect is enabled, you can run all cues at the same time.

... and be sure that your sequences is transparent,

when you have the sequence creator window open, click on options and select transparent.

this means when you for example make a sequence for the Mac 700's, its only these channels which are programmed in the sequence, so you can have serveal sequences to run at the same time... try to look at the help file in Freestyler for more info
