What's the best way to set up 18 PAR cans connected to DDS 6000 dimmer packs? Freestyler help seems to talk about using the DMX400 control but how does addressing work with that? Is it possible to add the PAR can fixtures and create scenes or do they have to be controlled with DMX400?

you can do scenes and fixtures. Just use the PAR CAN 1 Channel Fixture and add 18 of them to the dmx channels..
