"CUE" panel not working on Win XP Netbook...

I have Freestlyer installed on my my PC and my new HP Netbook, both running XP. With the netbook I can control my lights (x4 Chauvet 200B) via my DMX PRO interface, but I get NO response from the "CUE" button in Freestyler. The CUE panel does work on my PC. I've tried reinstalling the software, but no go.
Also the 3d visualizer is finicky and I could only get that to work once, let alone it likes to crash things and that goes for both my PC and Netbook.
I know the Netbook is uncharted territory, but from the specs you would think it should work. Any ideas what would stop just that one feature of the program when it otherwise seems to work?
