Hey there,

i new using Freestyler, but i tried it almost 2 weeks now and its a cool software to control DMX Lights! :fs:

But I have one question and I hope you guys can help me:

I am using Freestyler to controll 3 Varytec PAR 56 LED Lights, 2 American DJ Reve Scan LED and 1 Fogmaschine.

For the Pan & Tilt Channel of the 2 Scan's I use the Sound 2 Light funktion and limited the Pan & Tilt Channels.

For the PAR 56 I have created a cue's.

Its already a nice lightshow, but I want the cue's also to react to Sound. Now my problem is that I can use the random funktion for the scan's OR use the next step funktion of the Sound 2 Light funktion, but I want to use the random funktion AND next step funktion.

Can please someone tell me how to do this? Or tell me how to make this with other funktions???

THANKS!!!!

Mmmm Dont think you can quite do this.
You can use sound function in the cue window and then set the step to ramdom (I think)
This would have the same kind of effect ?

I find the sound input device I use (usb to line in & 2 line out) crashes freestyler so I try not to use it at all.

Hi Tod,

I think what is being suggested is that if you make a sequence with a whole load of randomish pan/tilt positions in it, say 20 or 30. Then when you load the sequence in your cue, turn on the random step function (looks like two crossed over arrows) and set this to follow sound to light, then the sequence will jump to random steps on the beat and each step will have one of your positions in it.

That would give a kind of psueudo-random effect on your pan/tilt on the beat and your other effects can use the beat in a sequenced way.

Does that make sense? Have I understood that correctly?
