Problem with midi control

My system is Freestyle 3.0.1 on a toshiba laptop with windows XP SP3. I have the Enntec Pro interface and an EMU midi interface. I use the Behringer FCB 1010 midi footswitch to send the note on messages.

I have mapped midi notes to the sequence buttons so that I can trigger the sequences in a cue from the footswitch.

The problem I am having is that after switching sequences a few times other functions that do not have notes mapped to them are getting triggered. The master intesity will change, the master tempo will change, fixtures will get selected and so on. At least once an hour during use this will cause freestyle to lock up and become unresponsive.

Has anyone else seen this type of problem or know of a solution? I am going to try and map notes to those offending functions that are getting triggered in hopes that this will kill the phantom triggers.

Hmmm, no suggestions. OK I am going to try mapping notes to as many functions as I can and if that doesn't work, I'll try going back to a previous version of Freestyler.

I really want to use freestyler but I can't have the application locking up every 30 minutes or less. It isn't fun having to stop the bands set while the computer gets rebooted

I tried mapping the functions that were getting triggered but the program still locks up. Today I am going to try version 2.9.6 J and see if it workes better for me.

Just curious if you had any forward progress on your setup?

I'm attempting to set up a very similar system with an Enttec Pro on an HP mini 1030NR Netbook which is uncharted territory. I'm planning on also getting a E-MU usb-midi adapter and a Behringer FCB-1010, all to (hopefully) control my Chauvet 4BAR and four 200B pars for a rock band.

I wish I could help, but I'm not even as far along as to create any "CUES" however my lights do respond to the color faders in FS.
