More than one beat with tapsync

I would like it very much that if I press the tap sync button, the chase doesn't just go to the next step, but plays an amount of steps. The amount of steps and interval time should be selectable.
This function is handy when I want to give a flash on every beat, or if I want to move a gobo and let it return on every beat. I can do this now with pressing the tap sync button twice at every beat, but when I chose an other chase, the speed is double as high and I have to re-set the tap sync time.

it will be sad if the tap sync feature changes, i like the feature very much as it is. if your suggestion should be implemented it should be an extra feature, not a change of the tap sync

As I said, the number of steps that change should be selectable, so if you set it to 1, it should react like it is now.

I don't think this would really help. If you want 2 steps then just click it twice as fast!
It's just right how it is IMO and on many professional desks it's like this. The whole point is that for every tap it advances one step.

I tought it might be a good idea when you work with submasters. Then you could create a chase for pan/tilt, colour etc. and a chase where you let the tap-sync count double to create a flash or something.

I think I can see what you are getting at as I have a similar issue during live performances where I have lots of generic sequences for multiple groups but want each group to run a sequence at a diffrent speed. My suggestion would be to have a sync to beat button for each submaster so that you can then trigger your cues at different speeds to match different elements of the music when doing a live performance. The current sync to beat function remains as is and is used as the default, however you can then use the sync to beat on the submaster and trigger cues at a different speed to the master sync to beat that is on the cue window. Hope this makes sense to everyone.

Hi Guys,
One way around this might be to make multiple steps in your sequences.
So for a sequence that needs to go on every other tap, you could make steps 1 and 2, 3 and 4, 5 and 6... etc the same, that way the sequence would effectively pause for one tap.
The same could be used for 3 beats etc... just duplicate your steps.
If you are looking for smooth movements, then rather than going from position 1 to position 2 in 2 steps, add an intermediate step halfway between.
Does that make any sense?

Yes, but unfortunately you have to adapt then all your other chases. This is the main reason why I came up with this idea.
