Hey everyone,

I'm looking to build a fixture file for this light but I can seem to figure it out. The manual is only 1 page and all it mentions is that it is a 7 channel unit, each channel controls a ring of lights.

Any thoughts?

Yep, try to create it yourself in fixture creator and if you ask here, at least post the DMX definitions here'.

Thanks a lot for your help guys. I'm starting to get the hang of it and will post the fixture file once I'm done. Any idea on how I can get these things to strobe? The lamp settings seem "grayed" out. I only have color mixing on the right and sequence creating.

For that to know we'll still need the DMX definitions.
If that has no info about strobing, then the fixture can't strobe by itself. Then you'll need to do the strobing with a sequence.
If it can strobe by itself; its just a matter of putting the right values in the right places in the fixture creator. (Strobe ch. low, mid and high)

Hi, I have a couple of these as well. I just got them and haven't built a Freestyler fixture file though as Im a newbie.

yes, its the same thing as the Chauvet LED-PAR196.

These fixtures are very simple. The only DMX control is for the 7 circles of LEDs. No standalone features. You must use a controller to use these.

From that manual:
CHANNEL - INTENSITY CONTROL OF
1-Red
2-Green
3-Blue
4-Red
5-Green
6-Blue
7-Red

So, it can't flash by itself. You need to make sequences that turns on and off all channels at the same time.

I built one this past weekend. I've included some macros for different colors as well(which may be wrong but you can tweak them to your liking).
As soon as I get a chance I'll post it.

You could have done that directly as posting a fixture file takes less than 1 minute longer than your previous post.
