Amount of Cues Question

Hi all! Happy New Year albeit late - I hope any one who was DJing / LJing had a good crowd!?

I've been using Freestyler now for a month and it rocks my socks off - OK there are a few minor irritations such as Biezier Curves not working in the cue window but apart from that I'm chuffed!

I was just wondering about the Cue Window - the place I have it set up in has three DJs in total and two of them are complete technophobes - I've managed to get them using the 'Cue Window' to playback different scenes and everyone's happy with that. The only issue I have is that I can only store 20 scenes - Is it possible to create other pages in the Cue Window so I could have 20 for one set of fixtures and 20 for another set of fixtures?

Any ideas how I could achieve a simple 'click play the lights will do what it says' solution but have more than 20 scenes?

Any help is much appreciated!

I've used a concept keyboard and assigned keys to start each of the cues. This way you can create your own labled keyboard to run different chases etc. My keyboard was originally intended for people with learning disability so has buttons twice normal size which makes labelimg them really easy. I've created general buttons to change colours, gobos and movement shapes. Added to some chases you've got a system that anyone can use. Once all the buttons are labled, I've even colour coded mine, ie green button for green lights, you dont even need to look at the computer screen. This might suit the phobic DJ's ! Hope this is helpful. regards from Alan

yes but it's not stright foward.
You need to go into the fs directory on your hard drive and copy over
EVERY file related to your show and the. Copy them into the correct
locations on the new laptop.
No simple solution exists - yet.

Isn't it?
I thought the "backup/restore" option in the file menu would cover al this. Never tried though.

there is no need to do this manually. like remco said, "file-->backup/restore" would do that for you.
it will save almost anything for you:
* Presets
* Freestyler.ini
* \Fixtures folder
* \Colors folder
* \Gobo folder
* \Chases folder
* \Cues folder
* \Locations folder

what it does not save is the midi configuration, you have to export that manually

I still think it is a good idea to backup all things manually (like dmxlighting suggested) before using this feature.

I have experience with the backup/restore feature that it made a corrupt backup file. I don't know if the problem is solved yet.
