After some hours of macro writing and then testing, along with guidance from Onge (LD/LJ for http://justfloyd.co.uk/), my first serious fixture file is here for anyone who needs it.

It's all tested and works great!

Enjoy.

See how easy that is, now you've done it?

Can I ask to take the fixture file to the 'next level'? (Not for me, just for showing you to yourself that more is possible)
Most of these type of fixtures have built in chases, some of them reacting to sound. If so, you could make macros from wich you can start all those different chases and options, with a simple mouseclick (or button press) in FreeStyler.
Or does'nt this fixture have this?

Hi Remco,

I like the sound of being able to do more with the functions, especially as the lasers I will be working on over Xmas will do more for sure.

Did you mean you wanted to add to the Swingfire macros, or me to do it!?! - Please go ahead if you want to, of course. I will look at it this evening.

As far as I can see the swingfire has the programs that are already in it on channel 9. It does do sound to light as one of them but having used in on that when not dmx'd it isn't very good. I think I am right in saying I need another bit of kit don't I for the computer to accept a sound input? - Is it a midi interface or something? Or just a mic? Not been down that route as yet, so any pointers there would be welcome.

Cheers, Nick.

PS - FS has now refuses to start as of last night, so I may have to reinstall it......... splash screen comes up but then nothing! Typical after starting to see its potential!!! Will sort it tonight.

I meant that you would do that, as a learning process. So next time, when you need to quickly create some new fixture, then you already know how things work.
