@ yofo. I really think you should read the help file in Freestyler.

as far as i can see in your screenshots you haven't set up a override button. that's why you get the error.

I know you are confused now, but again. read the help file, but I will give you a hint:
Cuelist buttons.png
this is not override buttons but cuelist buttons which is a completely other thing. read the help file for more information.

press the override button icon in the tool bar
button.png
to get the override button window

You are missing the point.

Beat flash does NOT control the cue window or the bottons on that.
Beat flash only controls override buttons, which is another window. So open the override buttons window and try with that. Also re-read my previous posts, might help you in the right direction. Read the help file. Keep in mind that override buttons does not play a complete sequence, but just the first step.

The cue window just gets the regular beat detections from S2L (and if enabled the multiplies). Beat flash functionality is for another window.

Edit:
And so, in the middle of the night (at this end of the world, 0:38) 2 great minds think alike. Just LJ_Krede wass slightly faster. :x

Now it works, :D :D :D , man I was googling the last hour for "override buttons for freestyler" I have even typed "override button" in the help, in the index section, and no result.. so I had it all wrong the time, then I have opened the override buttons, I have seen some ramdom file, that I have deleted a week ago....lol

EDIT: Now my laser acts as a sound to light strobe, every beat makes the laser go on for that 100 milliseconds or something... and then I just move some other slider to make it spin around, so it looks insane now, thx u all, now I also know what a override button is.... :?

it seem I've got confused in the past with those buttons, I thought that the override buttons was also some
type DMX400 button, that makes no sense to me :?

oh boy, I have learned alot, hahaha next topic, "fogger to sound".................................not!
man, I really hope you guys can make a plan on that blackout for light/laser, by putting a blackout on a cue, that will shake some things up on the dance floor or life show....

A cue can't be blacked out. It just can be disabled but would not have the desired effect.

Would you be happy having the here described "group blackout" functionality?

Well if you can refresh my mind on how to make it work...I can make group, but I can't do anything with a group?

EDIT: let me have a look..

You'll have all night to sort it out.

Damn! I just saw a man die in vancouver on TV (Olympics). He's in the 'run' (do you call it that way?), in a corner he makes a mistake, flies through the air with really high speed into some objects that dont move. Dead. Looked really ugly. *shocked*

there is the option "Cue "go to previous value" always enabled". if a sewuance in the cue windows is disabled it will blackout, if the fixtures was a no intensity before starting the sequence... however this effect the PAN/tilt on a bad way,,, they will always go to zero.

new idea. @ remco_k: can you control a SM from the S2L? then S2L can control the intensity for this SM, and you can have all your flash sequences in that SM.

@yofo: Please try harder before asking.

@LJ_Krede: seems like a good idea. I'll look into that.

I am serious now, I have no idea what to do with my group? I have created it by going to edit and then groups and there is just 3 options in there. Add Fixture, Add group, Remove item and that it? Is there some hidden button again? somewhere?

You use blackout groups via MIDI signals and/or shortcut keys. go to shortcut keys in FreeStyler setup and set the short cut keys for blackout groups

Ok, I have done that, is the blackout now bounded basically bounded to the b key on the keyboard? or something like that?

I tested a betabeta (just for me) some time ago where this was operational. (for what I can remember... ). So it is there for the future.
Guess that Raph is busy atm or have other more important things to do than work on FS.

remco_k can you please put on some add-ons on your F2L, because it have some potential, this that we have talked about earlier in this thread, that sound to light thing, blackout function stuff, make the difference. u have the knowledge to improve it, it just need some new funky functions to be awesome-r.
I don't know if you have the time and I have no idea how hard it is, but I'm really a fan of freestyler, because it's a awesome program and if it can get more functions to be played with, then it will be even better and more flexible...
