but what about this behaviour of fresstyler & the setup-routine? apart from my initial problem this can`t basically be right i think?

it could be a compatibility issue between FS and Windows7. However i think we have to know more before we ask raph to fix it, bevause we are not sure what this is.. right now you are the only person who have reported this,, and I can't say if it is the same issue you see on your computers...

Hello,
I have the same problem than Amnesia, and i had explored the forum without finding the right solution.
- - I work on Windows 7, with a Portable PC, internal Sound card : VIA HD Audio
- I installed FreeStyler 3.5.2, with embedded Sound2ligth software, and ENTTEC open DMX-USB interface.
- FreeStyler is Ok : i'm able to create and play DMX sequences on fixtures.
- Sound2ligth is OK and i exchange message with Remko to enable it (beat detection without problem, sending message to FreeStyler application : OK )
- in FreeStyler : option react to sound : enable for each fixture
But there is no reaction for the fixture (FreeStyler window interface or DMX channel).
I'm happy with the FreeStyler application, and i hope to find with you how to connect it with the sound.
