Raph has lots of beta testers already many of who are regular forum users / helpers.
Its not about being elitest in any way but beta testers need to be known and trusted people.
If everyone was beta testing then poor Raph would be inundated with bug reports from all users.
From his point of view its better to leave it as is for now.
Be patient and the new realease will be out soon.
