Hi Guys, i am only running 4 Robe Moving heads.
So far got all scenes created, I think, they are all in Cue's, 20 of em, different lenths all.
The problem I have now is how, on the road, do I get them all to play one after the other, at the speeds they were recorded in, and then back and play all over again, in a continiuos loop if you like? Preferably re-acting to sound to light as well.
Any help greatly apreciated
Goochie

Re: How To...Cue's
i've been using freestyler for 2 days now. i've figured out most stuff but i want to do the same thing. at first i was amazed that it could only create 15 scenes/steps so i wanted my lights to go from the first sequence in the cue to the last and then back again. really all i want to do is have a few cue buttons like static gobos and colours and various strobe effects. i'm a mobile dj and wanted to use the cheap velleman vm116 usb inerface on my dj laptop. i don't want to mess with the lights that much i just wanted the normal stuff with a few extra effects.
at the moment i've modified the freestyle.ini file from 15 steps to 99 steps so i can have more varition in my lights.
let me know if you managed to loop the cue's

Re: How To...Cue's
Hi,
no I'm as stuck as you, people on here don't seem very helpful at all???
All I want to do is run my 4 Robe moving heads with this software, but cant figure it out passed the cue lists, cant input the time bit or add to submasters.
All I want to do is create some programmes and let them run from one to the next and so on.....
Also tried to run on my Disco laptop, along side PCDJ Red, and it crashes whole PC. found it doesnt crash if you dont open 3D visual screen or try to go to sound to light, also sound to lihght doesnt find my externel soundcard?
How do you find the file to add more than 15 steps? where is it?
Hope you have better luck than I'm having,
Let me know
Goochie.

I hate this way of speaking... If you just had browsed something around on this forum, you would have never said this.Goochie wrote: no I'm as stuck as you, people on here don't seem very helpful at all???
They are very helpfull, but if they don't know the answer, then responding in this topic would be meaningless would it?
Next to that; you cannot expect a complete answer to fix your problem in a day or two. This is a forum for FreeStyler users and other interested people, not a paid support desk. If you want fast and direct support, buy Martins' Light Jockey and then call their support phone or something.
Then a workaround for this is to create one very big sequence with all steps in it. Therefore you might need more than 15 steps. That limit can be changed in FreeStyler.ini.All I want to do is run my 4 Robe moving heads with this software, but cant figure it out passed the cue lists, cant input the time bit or add to submasters.

And did you check what your CPU load did? Running an audio player, FreeStyler and 3d easy view is really CPU intensive. Same goes for the sound to light function. So maybe your PC is just not fast enough. It would be helpfull if you posted your system specs here. Also tried to run on my Disco laptop, along side PCDJ Red, and it crashes whole PC. found it doesnt crash if you dont open 3D visual screen or try to go to sound to light, also sound to lihght doesnt find my externel soundcard?
FreeStyler.ini is located in c:\Program Files\FreeStyler\How do you find the file to add more than 15 steps? where is it?
Look for something like this:
Than change the number to something higher that suites your needs and restart FreeStyler.[NumberOfScenes]
Number=15

Re: How To...Cue's
Ok heres the deal There are currently while I write this 1396 members on this forum and only 10 or less that actually offer some help Its not our fault that out of the 250 people a day visiting this forum not many want to help fielding questions... I learnt FS just by playing with it as it is quite simple. Most of us have DAY jobs and work for a living so we carnt be on here all the time. infact its only been in the last year that we've been getting more member activity and people helping each other out. FreeStyler is built by just ONE PERSON who also has a day job and a small family to look after he's also in his twentys I belive so he puts alot of work into this and for what?? Money?? NO its free completely. Hard work and alot of time for nothing...so he hasnt got the time to teach people what does what alot of it is self taught thanks to us playing with FS by all means if anyone wants to make tutorials be it video/pdf/website etc then PLEASE let us know I'd be more than welcome to host them on here!Goochie wrote:Hi,
