Hello!
I am new to Freestyler and new to DMX in general. I have an issue and I can't understand how it's happening>>>>
I have loaded 2 fixtures. A Chauvet Q Spot 160 LED from the Freestyler fixtures menu (address 1 - 12 ) and a Chauvet 6 Spot from a gentleman named Ricardo in the thread where fixtures are shared ( address 28 - 35 ).
Here is the issue. When I choose a Gobo for the 160 it also changes the color just 1st pod on the 6 Spot. All the gobos change the first pod to different colors depending on which gobo I choose.. The gogos on the 160 do change like they should... How can this be when I'm working on the 160 and the addresses are not the same??
The only similarity I noticed is that Ricard used a moving head fixture as a template for making the 6 Spot fixture file and used the Gobo 1 section to use his values.
Can anyone please explain what is happening? Is there a bug in Freestyler?

Make sure you only have the fixture selected that you want to operate

Is the channel you are controlling on 160 the same channel being affected on 6 spot? if so you have both fixtures selected. If you select a fixture then another fixture you must deselect the previous fixture if you dont want to control both. Best way to test is open the software and select the fixture you want to control and change slider values, is it still affecting other fixture?

Thanks Partyman... I noticed that if I select the fixture from the very left side vertical panel and edit I dont have the issue but if I select them from the main screen I have the issue.... I guess I have to select the fixture from the far left panel from now on.
Incidentally I did have another question maybe you might know the answer to. In the Q Spot 160 fixture file there are some macro buttons to activate the 2 on board auto programs, the custom program, sound mode, and reset etc.... I noticed when I use either auto program 1 or 2 I cant get out of either without resetting the fixture completely either from the reset icon or shutting the program down. I just want to exit the auto program and get manual control of the fixture again.. I guess I have a lot of learning to do...
