Bezier Shapes - litte ball dont moves when shape is on

Hi!

Freestyler Version 3.0

In the older versions, the little ball in the Bezier-Shapes-Window-Grid moves when the button
of e.g. "Retangle" was on.
Now in the new 3.0 version the ball no longer moves. All other functions are working perfectly.
My moving-heads working and use the move of e.g. "Retangle".

A) Is that a bug of the new version?
B) Is something on my Installation of Windows (Flash Player) not correct?
C) Is this function no longer needed in the new version?

Freestyler and especially the new version is really great.

The ball no longer moves as it was causing a bug.
There is no problem with your install.

It's very pity that I can't see the activity of my moving light with shape
And another bug is when I select a fixture with shape enabled - the information in the shape drop-down list is not updated according to current shape.

However, if you do open the shape window, it shows the correct shape on that fixture.

You should read the help file in Freestyler. With the shape window open, use your mouse to move the yellow, red & blue squares to where you want them. You just created a new shape. The save button is on the top of the shape window. Name your new shape and click OK. Your new shape will be added to the drop down menu for future use.

1) open the "create sequence" window
2) select the fixture and open the "Pan/Tilt" window
3) select a desired shape and press the "OFF" button right above the "SHAPE" button on the "Pan/Tilt" window
4) Save the sequence or make a new step if needed

you can change the shape speed. this will also be saved to the sequence

Hi all, I was hoping to create a march of all four scanners (i.e. just along the tilt in a mexican wave effect) is there any way to have a custom shape that is just a single line... without all the other points? It would be great if you could delete all the points to create a single line for the scanner to move up and down on.

thats all i think you should know to make/edit shapes. in the forum you can find a bez file for a straight line you can download and use.

to make a wave you could also use the sinus curve from the effect generator

Thanks LJ, I've managed to create the tilt shape for my mirrors, however I'm struggling to make them all move one after the other... they are all moving along the shape line at random intervals... is there any way to program these in a 'mexican wave' style?

You would need to adjust the start points (the "yellow" one) to different positons. Then you create a shape for each mirror you have with a different start point.

This will never be back? Still doesn't move in 3.5.2.

I can't seem to make a shape follow tap tempo, therefore I have no use for them as is.
Instead I use Fx editor to try and make some shapes, but that has only sin and cos.
Fx editor makes different steps from positions, shapes do not and therefore don't seem to follow tap tempo.

Is Fx the only way, or am I missing something with shapes?
