Hello all,
I just purchased a USB/DMX interface and have downloaded Freestyler. I'd like to be able to run my light show from a different PC than the one used for mixing/playing music. I would like to program some simple chases and run them in sound to light mode on the second PC. Any suggestions on how I might pull this off?

Re: Sound to Light from Different PC
What are you using for mixing/playing music?
http://www.virtualdj.com/forums/191352/ ... yler8.html for VDJ will pass the live beatgrid information, and also cuepoints that can be remembered in tracks to freestyler (on same or different computer, doesn't matter, it can be configured to plug a xover network cable between them). This allows you to set a command to strobe, or launch a specific chase at a set point in the song that can be remembered automatically next time the song is loaded.

You could also run a booth output cable from mixer into second laptops 'line in', or just let it use internal mic depending where laptop is located, and volume of the music where it's at.
