Freestyler with MADRIX Plexus

Hello all. I would like a little help please. I am trying to use Freestyler with a Madrix Plexus USB Interface and am having a few issues trying to get it to interface correctly. I am using a Windows 8 (64 bit) laptop. I installed the interface and it is being seen by the computer. When I go to change the interface to MADRIX within Freestyler, a message pops up saying "Error Creating Output Thread". Can anyone shed some light on this for me? I would appreciate any help. Thanks.
