I recently purchased several American DJ P36LED fixtures and was able to successfully create a fixture file for them (attached). My question is on dimming/master intensity and blackout functionality.
I cannot get fading control to work with the fixtures. I think it is because it is not an option for this fixture. Based on the DMX Channel table (attached in PDF), there are three dimming options on channel 6 -- dim-bright, bright-dim, and dim-bright-dim -- and those will work (the fixtures fades in and out, but there is no way to stop it at a certain point, it is just like a color change or chase mode). Additionally, I cannot find a method to shutter or blackout the light (the only way I've figured out is to zero out all three rgb channels) -- would also appreciate any suggestions of anything else I should add to the fixture file to better utilize the light (FC image attached) -- ultimately the fixture works fine, just wanting/wishing for a little more functionality.
Similar question -- on page 2 of the pdf is the DMX table for a Chauvet colorstrip which I used the default Fixture file for included with Freestyler....but I cannot get it to dim on intensity as well, but looking at the table, I don't think it has any dimming options.
Appreciate any help / suggestions --- only been using the software for a few weeks and definitely looking forward to learning more.
for whatever reason, I cannot get the fixture file or screenshot to attach -- so here are direct links to them.

Re: American DJ P36LED Question
It can be difficult to get the functionality you want or need. It might be just as easy to program an OR button for a blackout function if that's all you're looking for.
So put all the RGB channels to 0 and then create a sequence, then place on a OR button. If you more explanation or a video on this let me know
Peace

Re: American DJ P36LED Question
Thanks! -- I made a macro for blackout this afternoon which worked fine.....really it's just the intensity that is unfortunate. I did find that I can pause the sequence at the intensity I want, but that seems like a illogical way of doing things.
