Elation Midicon

Post by heelium »

Hello Everybody.

I read some threats in the fs-forum about the Elation Midicon.

But I'm still not shure if the controller works with FS.

Does anybody know if it works?

Most of all I would like to control the submasters with the controller and use the 8 faders also the buttons fwd, rev and play.

Maybe it is also possible to control the pan-tilt of all heads global with two of the jogwheels?

Thank you very much.
Markus

hi

in theorie ALL midi controllers should work with FS.
only you need to understand how Midi works necause there are many differnt way's how a Controller can send Midi.

as i readed on the FSBT there is a someone how have some trouble with the Elation midicon controller.
because one Buttons send a NOTEON event (90) on NOTE 1 (00)
so 90 00 00

And therese a Slider thats send a Controller event (BO) on note1 (00)
So B0 00 00

Freestyler does not see the Deffernce beteen a 90 Or B0 events. for FS i recommend a B0 event..
so you need to use Midi ox or Bome's MT to Map al the button and slider so FS understand it.
