Hey guys,
My club has some very very ancient scans which are very basic, and are starting to get very faulty now.
I need to convince the management to invest in new scans, but I think I should do my own research first before i start pushing for it.
Here are some of the criterea I would like for new scans:
> DMX controlled. 3 pin would be nice.
> Cheap to replace globes!!
> Robust, a light that has a reputation for not failing very much.
> Colourful and bright!
> A shutter on its own DMX channel, so that you can "blink" the lights without flicking through gobos
> A dimmer on its own DMX channel
Tell me what scans you think I should get!!
Andrew

Re: What scans would you recommend for this job?
I don't know because I left that job due to relocating.
Went back to the club recently and noticed they had changed their moving heads from metal halide ones to LED ones. Didn't take a closer look to the see the brand, model number, etc.
They don't have gobos but the club manager said he doesn't like them because nobody notices them (the club gets crowded, and also few flat surfaces apart from the roof).
