Hi Guys,
Im stuck making a fixture file for a kam 80 fscan laser.
I have had a mess about making a file up, but when I plug the fixture in & load up FS, the channels I had set dont corrispond with the fixture manual channels.
I have the fixture file ready to load up if someone could have a look & please tell me where I am going wrong.
Any help would be grateful
cheers
Mark

Re: Help with a fixture file for Kam 80 FScan laser
Also,
this is another fixture file that I have put the patterns into.
Dont know how much of the file is correct forthe fixture, but i've had a go.
I can normally program light fixtures ok, but have come stuck on this one.
Thanks
Mark

Hej M4rky
It is important that you take this in small steps to get all functions to work, one by one.
You will not get the fixture to work in one step.
I have just been looking in the manual.
On channel 1 the range 0 to 10 is not defined. That may be an error in the manual.
I can see that there is no pure manual mode in channel 1 so it could be there in the rang 0 - 10.
You can try placing the fader1 at 0 (Left side fade panel) and then see what other.
In the last fixture you posted I can also see that something don’t correspond to the manual.
Channel 3 is placed on “Pan 8 bit” I would place them in macro because patterns is fixed values and you need all the faders you can get to control the laser.
Channel 3 is pattern control (120 patterns)
It may be necessary to split this fixture in two to get enough handles / faders
But just to get it to work I would do the following
You have place channel 4 on goboch.1 with 111 gobos think you have mixed up channel 3 and 4.
3 is the one with patterns.
Think I would place Channel 4 vertical movement on goboch.1 and Channel 5 on Goboch.2
Both with a few icons that brings the fader into the 0-127, 128 – 191, 192-255.
When you have done this I think it is time to see that this part works.
The rest will have to come later.
Give a feedback when you have this part to working then we can continue.

Re: Help with a fixture file for Kam 80 FScan laser
Hi Jan,
I am so sorry I havent messaged back since, but I have been very busy with schedules.
I am still yet to try some of what you have written, I have only done a portion due to work commitments.
Will get around to the programming in a couple of days time...
Thanks for your help with this.

Re: Help with a fixture file for Kam 80 FScan laser
Hi,
I have done what you have instructed & had a little play with the fixture, but still no luck as to keeping a fixed pattern (gobo) coming out of the projector.
I have put the patterns into the macro lists, but still cant get the fixture to give me what I want yet, obviously not working as I would like yet as I have probably got another stage to go through with yourself before I can get it to work.
regards
Mark

Re: Help with a fixture file for Kam 80 FScan laser
Hej again
Try settig it up where you think it fails.
Make a screen plot of the 11 faders in the right side of the FreeStyler window and upload it here.
Or better make a screen dump of the DMX Output "Output" -> "Show Output"
You need to show / tell which channel are used for the laser.
And make a short comment of what it is doing wrong.
