modern equivalent to the clay paky astrodisc?

Post by Jess-- »

Does anyone know of a smaller modern equivalent to the old Clay Pacy Astrodisc 3?
the closest I can find is the accu ufo from american dj, the problem with the accu ufo is that it is limited in its rotation (540 degrees)

what I am looking for is a light similar in size to the accu ufo (18 inches max) that supports continuous rotation, it does not have to support changing colours on the individual beams (although it would be useful)

American DJ used to make a Mini-Saucer unit, but only has 2 rotating axis instead of 3. They are no longer produced. I do have a used one available.

There is a used one with colored lenses on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/CLAY-PAKY-3-AXIS-3D ... 0638048304

If I had the money, I'd just buy it to collect it! Brings back some good memories. It truly is an impressive effect!

Cheers Gary

the original clay paky is just too big which is why I was looking for a smaller / more modern version
where the light is for has a low ceiling and the height of the clay paky brings the light too low

had already looked at the accu ufo (as mentioned in my original post) and while it looks similar it does not do continuous rotation on any axis (all are limited to 540 degrees or less)
