Digital Enlightenment Interface / DMX IN functionality

Post by Peter Grüdl »

Dear communtiy and developers,

first of all I have to thank you all to make that oustanding piece of software work!

As some other users I also have an "Digital Enlightenment" Interface that works fine fith freestyler
in the DMX out mode (Freestyler signal -> DMX out)
For my new purpose I want to use also the DMX IN port of my interface in combination with
freestyler.
Unfortunately freestyler ignores the DMX IN signal, that comes from my IMG Stageline 1440 desk.

--- To be shure the Interface works correctly, I installed DMX COntrol (That I don't like much so far) and
it provides the possibility to chose the mode for my interface ----

I have the strong feeling, that freestyler brings my interface to a special "output only" mode, when the dll is loaded.

Can anybody help me to embed the Digital enlightenment IF 100% to freestyler, that I can use my desk and the PC ?

Thanks in advance and best regards fron Jülich, Germany....
Peter

You can't.
The only DMX input implementation for FreeStyler is (what I thought it is) from a Martin interface. None of the other interfaces are implemented. So finding a solution, would take a long time.

A better idea would be to do a request to the developer. Maybe it will get build in some day.

Hi remco_k,

thanks for your quick reply.
The "sound 2 Light" developers have something to do with the DMX IN development for the different interfaces? I'm a little confused now...

Best regards,
Peter

No, thats just my signature. Has nothing to do with my post. :)
By requesting to the developer I did'nt mean myself - but the FreeStyler developer, Raph.
