13 AUG Gig Pics

Bit of a lie, not really any pictures to show you.
turned up at 7:30 to start to set up.
started to setup and asked bar manger if he could switch some lights on so i could see to set up.
he said there may be a small problem with that, they have had a power cut since four. Power company said it should be back on in an hour.

So i continued to set-up by torch light.

8:00 guest arrived - no power
8:30 lights came on.
8:31 lights went off.

bar manager called power company. they have found the fault, it will require digging up the road to lay new cables. power to be expected back on at 12:00

decided to call it a day cut my losses and go home.

The poor ladies party it was, was understandably gutted. certainly one gig i don't wont to repeat again.

You should have went to the local hardware store and rented a Generator!

we contacted the local electric company, they said it would take longer to get a genset to us then it would to fix the problem. Theres no where else locally that was open at that time.
