Custom color presets

Post by russellcframe »

In using LED Par cans I love the ability to mouse around on a color pallette to select colors in real-time.

It would be great if I could save off colors I like to a group of custom color presets that I could easily save later from the color pallette window.

For example, finding a white that I like is difficult with LED cans, once I get one it would be nice to save it for later use in different sequence steps.

Thanks.

ok.. You Should Try and Use the MACRO function in the Fixture Creator! Or you may also want to make Cue's for the different Colors.

As far as I am aware you have to know the values to create macros though? And it has to be done in fixture creator? See my thread on palettes.

yes i agree totaly white is a difficult one to get on led fixtures.
I suppose this could be done in two ways simple and the not so simple.

1. the simple idea would just save the RGB/CMY values and would operate like any other colour in the colour picker I.E the colour is saved in the sequence.

2. NOT so SIMPLE.
Works like a real pallet, sequences reference the pallet therefore if you alter the pallete it updates all the sequences.
