Noobie - Uplighting Scenes & Sequences?

I'm pretty much a noobie when it comes to DMX programming. I've got Freestyler setup and interfacing with a set of uplights and it's working well. I can manually change colors and that's about it. I want to create some basic scenes, chases, fades, etc. similar to these:

Chase Scenes - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1iiDsFBlDE0

I've read through alot of the support, the wiki, etc. Is there a super beginner place to start? Would someone have a sample scene or cue or sequence file to share? Once I get pointed in the right direction, I'm sure I'll be good. What's the best approach?
