Sequences Won't Start With First Cue

I have very many sequences in my cue list that are to line up exactly with music.
Whenever I start the cue, it never starts with the first scene. It usually starts halfway into the sequence.
It has really irritated me, I've tried lining them all up and then saving the cue but when I come back it still never starts with the first scene.
So in a nutshell, can anyone tell me how to get my sequences to start with the first scene.
