Things to post when making fixture request

Post by JamesLS »

After reading a lot of posts in this section I have decided to make a post of my own telling people what we need in order to help you with creating your own fixture profile or if we decide to make one for you.
  • 1. Make and Model of the fixture
    2. The manual for the fixture - This is the most important one
    3. Date of manufacture if possible
Please make sure that the manual you supply is for the same make and model you want the Fixture Profile for. There may be a couple of different version of the unit you have and some of the DMX settings may have been moved around or changed.

I found this to be true of a Martin Light rig I was setting up. Freestyler had the profiles for all the lights but the lights where over 8 years old so the Fixture profile did not match all of the settings for them.
