This forum is designed for you to get HELP with building fixtures, Please make an attempt if you get stuck YOU must upload your partial fixture file (as an exported fixture file) so we can point you in the right direction if you don't do this you won't LEARN and if you don't learn you will may never be able to get the fixtures you require. It is Very hard to make fixtures for people when we don't have the same light at hand to test it with after all having the light in front of you makes programing so much easier! That's why we will help but rarely build any fixtures for you. You Alone are the best person to build your fixtures if you need help ask if you want it building for you Don't....

If anyone could take a minute to peek at this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dio0VZfPFoY it pretty much explains it. I'm pulling my hair out with these lights and if someone could maybe point me towards my error I would be forever in your debt.

Known settings of my setup
Latest version of freestyler

Cheap usb to dmx cable from amazon - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076HPRQQQ?re ... tails&th=1

cheap led pars from amazon - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BFHQGHKY?re ... tails&th=1

cheap dmx cables from amazon -https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B4SL724H?re ... tails&th=1

1 cheap dmx terminator plugged into last light.

light 1 is set to channel 1-7 (they are 7 channel lights)
light is set to channel 8-14 .

First light s fully controllable in freestyler.
If I unplug the first light and put a different light in it's place it is addressable and works as well.
as long as it is set to channel 1 (d001 on the light led display)

If I attempt to set the light to any other dmx channel and address it on that channel with freestyler I am unable to control it at all. no response.

So basicly a light hooked up to 2-9 is not controllable, etc...
I can't control any light past channel 1.

I went back to look at the reviews of the lights and unfortunately some are saying that the lights are incapable of being controlled via dmx, but i can clearly control the first channel light and the 7 channels it is using.

The guy at the lighting store said there is a master slave mode that the pars have to be set too, but that's only if you want synchronous playback right? Just set them all to channel 1? or do I need to make the the first light master and the rest slave in order for the dmx to work? Thanks in advance. sorry so long winded.
